Confirm City limits
The City provides an address checker and warns that an Orlando mailing address can be outside City limits. This determines whether the City or another authority reviews the project.
Understand the City package
The City's residential pool checklist identifies building, electrical and engineering permits as typical minimum components. Plumbing or gas permits can apply to heaters or automatic fill systems.
Use the County process when applicable
Orange County maintains a separate residential swimming-pool permit page and Fast Track application process for properties under County jurisdiction.
Ask about related improvements
Screen enclosures, fences, drainage, gas heaters and changes near easements can add separate design, review or inspection work. Require the proposal to identify these items.

- Which permits, drawings, inspections and trade permits are included?
- What work is excluded or carried as an allowance?
- Which documents will I receive at final completion?
